Virtual Conference

Can’t make it to Minneapolis? We’ve got you covered! The PLA 2026 Virtual Conference will coincide with the in-person event, April 1–3, 2026.

Attending the Virtual Conference

Already registered for the PLA 2026 Virtual Conference? For the best experience we strongly recommend you attend the virtual programs and events you select using the online Conference Console running in a browser on a laptop or desktop computer. The larger screen will allow you to participate more fully in each program and event. However, you can also attend in the mobile app.

Log in to the online console with the email address you used to register. If this is your first time accessing the online console, then you must leave the password empty. Do not click the "Email me my password" button if you haven't previously set a password in the online console or mobile app; the password field should remain empty until you set one. Once successfully logged in, you can set a password in your profile for future logins. If you've already set a password in the mobile app, then you'll use the same password to access the online console. The mobile app and online console sync with each other, so your password, profile, and personalized schedule are shared in both.

Each virtual session will open to attendees 5 minutes prior to its start time. To attend a virtual program or event, click the session in either the overall schedule or your personalized schedule and then the “Join Virtual Session” button. Please note: Virtual Conference registrants will only see virtual programs and events in the online console and mobile app. In-person full-conference registrants who have purchased the Virtual Conference add-on will see both in-person and virtual programs and events.

If you need technical assistance during the Virtual Conference, attendee support is available from Bravura at support@bravuratechnologies.com or by calling 941-894-0500.

Here's what to expect at the Virtual Conference:

  • Top-quality education: Shape the future of public libraries with more than twenty educational programs—thoughtfully curated by public libraries for public libraries—that represent a diverse range of experiences, perspectives, and communities. Choose from two sessions in each of the eleven time slots to tailor your learning experience to your needs. Half of the virtual programs will be encore presentations of in-person programs presented from our onsite studio in Minneapolis; and half will be Virtual Conference-exclusive programs presented remotely from around the country.

  • Exclusive live-streams from Minneapolis: Don’t miss the action with live-streams of the Opening Session with Bryan Stevenson, the Big Ideas Session with Dr. Ruha Benjamin, and the Closing Session with Chef Sean Sherman.

  • Special attractions: Stay tuned to discover which popular authors you’ll be hearing from in our author spotlights and how you can network and connect with fellow virtual attendees.

  • On-demand access for three months*: Can’t decide which sessions to attend? No problem. You’ll have access to the virtual educational programs for three months so you can learn at your own pace.

*Please note: While the educational programs and author events will be recorded and available on-demand, the Opening Session, Big Ideas Session, and Closing Session are must-see live events and will not be recorded. Only the educational programs listed as “Virtual” will be available for live or on-demand viewing. No other programs from the in-person event will be recorded.
