PLA 2012 Career Center

This year, the PLA 2012 Career Center will feature:

• Opportunities for libraries to post available jobs and for job-seekers to review available positions
• Tables where libraries with open positions/recruiters can set-up shop
• Private space for interviewing or meeting potential candidates
• A resume review program, Thursday, March 15

The PLA 2012 Career Center will be open during the show’s exhibits hours in Exhibits Hall C:

Wednesday, March 14, 4:00–6:30 PM
Thursday, March 15, 9:30 AM–5:00 PM
Friday, March 16, 9:30 AM–4:00 PM

Job Providers and Job Seekers

Though unstaffed, the PLA 2012 Career Center will feature a bulletin board where libraries are invited to post notices of available jobs. In addition there will be table space available for those libraries or recruiters wishing to set up shop. Private interview spaces are first come, first served. There is a sign- up sheet to reserve use of the interview rooms.

Resume Review Program

Get some objective one-on-one insight and resume recommendations with library professionals experienced in hiring during the PLA Resume Review Program.

Thursday, March 15
10:00 AM–12:00 PM and 2:00–4:00 PM

Sign up at the Local Arrangements Desk in the registration area until space is filled. If you are applying for a certain job, you may want to bring a copy of the job ad to show the reviewer.
