Literacy is Power and Libraries Provide the Fuel: The Movement that is PA Forward
Tuesday, March 20, 2018, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Travel alongside us as we take you on a journey through PA Forward, the Pennsylvania Library Association’s 21st Century Literacies Initiative. What began as an outreach initiative has grown into a full-blown movement statewide and evolved into benchmarks through the PA Forward Star Library Program. Hear from the experts in marketing, partnerships, development, and outreach about how PA Forward is energizing libraries and how libraries, in turn, are energizing Pennsylvania.
At the end of this session, participants will:
1: Use decision-making tools to determine how to best connect their libraries with their local communities 2: Develop a list of partners in their own region and brainstorm ways to engage/leverage those partnerships to support the libraries' efforts 3: Learn how to enhance the image of the library as a community resource
The session organizer(s) identified this session as appropriate for:
Level 1: People with no previous knowledge of the topic.
