Turning the Page 2.0 Kick-Off

Target Audience: Library professionals and/or library supporters (including trustees and Friends) who are taking the Turning the Page 2.0 advocacy course. Participants must separately register for the 6-week course between Jan. 30 and Mar. 7 by clicking here.
This half-day kick-off introduces librarians and supporters to the basic components of Turning the Page 2.0, an advocacy education course in a convenient blended-learning format. Participants will leave this preconference ready to undertake a six-week course of facilitated and independent online work leading to the development of a custom advocacy work plan for their libraries. Attendance at this kick-off is encouraged but not mandatory for participation in the online program. Please read more about the course by clicking here.

At the end of this preconference, participants will:
- Understand the flow of the Turning the Page 2.0 course (six weeks online, including both virtual classroom sessions and independent online homework).
- Be ready to use the tools and processes specifically designed for this course.
- Know how “advocacy” is defined in the course.
- Have a 6-week advocacy “goal” to use throughout the rest of the 6-week online course.
